It is with a very heavy heart that we note the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Jim McCarthy, who passed away on December 11th after a long pulmonary illness. Engaged and brilliant to the end, Jim was an example of the very best that we all aspire to as both a scholar and human being. The many lives that he touched and the ways in which he will be missed simply cannot be overstated. http://environment.harvard.edu/remembering-jim-mccarthy to commomerate Jim's life and work.
