I have a broad interest in the fields of global biogeochemical cycles, paleoceanography, and paleoclimatology. My research combines stable isotope geochemistry and numerical modeling techniques to investigate how the marine sulfur cycle responds to climatic and tectonic changes over geological timescales. Specifically, my current projects focus on reconstructing the high-precision triple oxygen isotope record of seawater sulfate (enclosed in marine barite) for the Cretaceous and Cenozoic. The primary goal is to better understand the influence of Large Igneous Province formation and biospheric activity on biogeochemical cycles of sulfur, carbon, and oxygen through time.
