EPS Undergraduate Field Trip January 2023

Over winter recess, the EPS department partnered with SEA Education Association and embarked on a week-long undergraduate field trip to the US Virgin Islands on board the SSV Corwith Cramer, a 134-foot steel brigantine built as a marine research ship. The students learned how to operate a sailing vessel in the open water, deployed plankton net tows for phytoplankton collection, and even got to drop anchor and swim in the Caribbean Sea!
