Department tutorials provide a chance for EPS concentrators and prospective students alike to meet with EPS faculty in an informal setting. In addition to learning about the variety of research opportunities available within EPS, the tutorials are also a great way to meet other students interested in earth and planetary sciences.

Our October 7 presenter is Professor Javier Ortega-Hernandez, whose research interests lay in better understanding the substantial extinct biodiversity of invertebrate metazoans in the Paleozoic Era.

All EPS concentrators are required to attend five tutorials before graduation. If you are interested in an EPS concentration but haven’t declared yet, your attendances will be retroactively counted toward the five attendance policy, whenever you end up declaring.
