Raia Ottenheimer
Graduate Student

I am interested in the interplay between surface and atmospheric processes, especially the role and quantification of methane emissions from oil and gas production.
Raia is a first year student in the Wofsy Group pursuing a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering. She is currently working to help quantify methane emissions from the MethaneAIR campaigns and MethaneSAT observations.
Raia received an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biological Physics – Advanced Physics Stream from the University of Toronto (High Distinction, ‘24) and an Associates of Science from Madison College (Honors Program, ‘21) as part of the Early College STEM Academy dual degree.
