Susie Carter
Laboratory Manager
Susie Carter was born and grew up in Falmouth, MA, to parents who met at WHOI. She graduated from Harvard in 1990 in Geological Sciences. She has been manager for Pearson Lab since 2003.
After spending her first 40 years as a sailor, she took up whitewater sports and is now an avid rafter and kayaker. In pre-pandemic days, she played a lot of ball hockey. She has a husband who teaches at MIT, two children in college, a dog and a cat.
